Calm the Chaos makes use of ingredients with adaptogenic properties. Adaptogens help the body to balance cortisol at the right levels, so if you’re stressed they can relax you, or if you’re low or lethargic, they can pick you up.
WHAT IS CORTISOL?
Cortisol is a hormone that is produced in the adrenal glands. As well as playing a role in the body’s response to stress, it’s also involved in increasing blood sugar, reducing inflammation and aiding nutrient metabolism. Cortisol is released by the body within 30-40 minutes of waking, the levels then fall throughout the day. When you are stressed the adrenal glands release cortisol and adrenaline in order to prepare your body for potential danger. This is a normal response to stress, however, having extended periods of stress and elevated levels of cortisol can lead to negative side effects such as weight gain, high blood pressure irritability and changes to your mood.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Calm the Chaos can be taken as three capsules throughout the day, depending on how you are feeling, or what your goal is. If you are aiding sleep, or winding down, take 3 capsules before bed. If you are aiming to recover after a workout, take 3 capsules within 30 minutes of exercise. If you are managing stress, take 1 capsule three times a day to help restore cortisol balance.
